PRESENT SIRThe play endeavor’s to showcase the flaws of the present education system. Creation of a hypothetical journey of student life in the play reflects the problems faced by majority student population of Delhi. Beginning from the root level of schooling, the play successfully shows the “By-Product” produced by education imparted to students throughout one’s life. The loose quality of education provided in school with strict emphasis on rote learning renders a human turning into a mere data card. Finding “success” through mugging up and killing the inquisitive human within, the student settles in the college, the new phase with the tool of semester system grinds the human out of the student. Semester system with its weak infrastructural facilities, tight time schedule, heavy syllabus, and frequent examinations pattern leaves no possibility for a student to discover and know oneself. The human robot is full to the brim with information, but lacks the knowledge required to live life. This “human-robot” is a failure everywhere; unable to attain a good job with the means of his “qualification” and harbouring a lifeless human within he is unable to recall what he has studied throughout his life, straining himself only produces the faint memory of the daily monotonous school attendance.

DHARM
the street play tries to question the concept and relevance of religion in the contemporary world. The focus of the play lies on the creation and establishment of religion/religions and their interpretations in today’s times. The play tries to explore the control and fear of religion on the common man. Religion is not anymore a pure way of life to be followed, it has become a tool in the hands of the masters, used to turn humans into wild boars: to hunt and kill.
The play is an attempt to look for answers to a few difficult questions like-“Is religion a creation of man?”, “Has religion become an escape for us? “, “Has man become a puppet in the hands of his own doing?” and “Do all religions preach the same things?”
